Vocational Training Programs
To cater for the high number of school drop outs within the surrounding community,
the Ark Community Education Centre also aims to provide vocational training for adults and high school graduates.
Education Support Program:
Objectives: Provide basic education starting from kindergarten, primary, junior secondary, senior school through tertiary level to the needy children in the slums of Nairobi.
Vocational & Technical Skills Training
Objectives: Provide technical skills e.g. basic computer kills, sewing/tailoring skills & hair dressing to school leavers
Business Skills Training
Empower children’s parents with small scale business skills.
Community Mobilization Program:
Objectives: Bring together young adults who have graduated from university to do businesses and support community activities e.g. community clean ups.
Counseling & Support:
Objectives: Provide psycho-social support to orphans, widows & widowers as well as destitute children to develop their lives
Adult Literacy Program
Objectives: Provide adult literacy to the community members who never had a chance to school.
